The New Kitchen for 2022

Kitchens come in all shapes and sizes, but the reality is that the kitchen is and probably always will be the main hub of our homes. And with Americans spending more and more time cooking at home, your hard-working space could possibly use a face-lift. Your kitchen should always reflect your taste. With the new year’s design trends coming out, it will be easy to find a concept that reveals your style without breaking the bank.

Pop o’ Color

Emerald greens and cobalt blues will be all the rage this year. If you’re nervous about painting the entire kitchen a bold color, opt for an accent piece or island to grace your kitchen in one of these fun hues. This will add interest without overwhelming your space.

Elegant Ranges

The newest ovens and ranges are hardworking…and elegant. It may be hard to think of an oven or range as pretty, but these really take the cake. Manufacturers are coming out with several price points that won’t blow your budget. An apple red oven can be so inspirational!

Upgraded Hardware

One of the easiest ways to upgrade your kitchen is to change out the hardware. This year, brass hardware is here to stay. But the new knobs and pulls come in many several finishes of gold. Antique brass, matte gold, and satin are all great choices to pick from. Designers are also bringing matte black to the game. Just remember, if you decide to give a different look a try, it is a lot easier to use hardware of the same type. Switch out hardware with the same number of holes and the same width if you are not ready to change your cabinetry completely.

Glazed Tile

Glazed tiles catch the light and come in many different colors and shapes. The finish looks clean and fresh in almost any style of kitchen. Subway tile in a herringbone finish or laid vertically will also add interest .

Quartz Isn’t Going Anywhere

It looks like quartz countertops will remain popular and for good reason. Quartz is non-porous and stain resistant. It comes in many different colors and patterns that imitate the look of natural stone such as granite. Don’t like the shininess of quartz? Opt in for a honed finish which will give your counter a matte, modern look.
